Bio

NIKI AGUIRRE is an American fiction writer based in London.  She has lived in the US, Spain and Ecuador and now resides in the UK with her family and numerous cats. She studied English Literature at the University of Illinois and holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of London.

Aguirre is the recipient of a Birkbeck Outstanding Achievement Award for Fiction (2006) and a grant from the Arts Council England (2010). Her stories have appeared in various publications including Tell Tales, LITRO, and Pen International Magazine. Her debut, 29 WAYS TO DROWN, was published in 2007. Her new collection of short stories TERMINAL ROMANCE will be out in 2012.

Dystopia: I used to like dystopia. Lately, it reminds me of dysentery and that's never good. Plus, the increase of apocalyptic films and books over the past decade make me wish we'd end already, just so I can see if they're right.
