Niki Aguirre is a London based fiction writer. Born in the United States, she has travelled extensively and lived in Ecuador, Spain and the UK. She studied English Literature at the University of Illinois and holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of London. Her debut collection of short fiction 29 Ways to Drown was published in 2007 by Flipped Eye Publishing. Her second collection Terminal Romance was published in 2012.
Aguirre is the recipient of the Birkbeck Outstanding Achievement for Creative Fiction (2006) and was awarded grants from the Arts Council of England (2007 & 2011). Her short stories have been published in Pen International, LITRO and Statement Magazine. She is working on her first novel.
