About me

NIKI AGUIRRE is a London based fiction writer, born in the United States to Ecuadorian parents. She studied English Literature at the University of Illinois and holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of London.

Her debut collection of short fiction, 29 Ways to Drown was published in 2007 by Lubin & Kleyner. Read an interview with Niki at the Short Story Review.

The recipient of a Birkbeck Outstanding Achievement Award for Creative Fiction (2006) and a grant from the Arts Council England (2007), Niki Aguirre's short stories have been published in Tell Tales, Mechanics' Institute Review, LITRO and Pen International Magazine. Her new book, Tales From The Bluesky, is due out in early 2011.
